Rx8 NO POWER WONT START
Hi guys
i've tryed seacrching but found nothing helpful ,
my car has been sitting the the garage with the bonnet up
and i went to start it today my car would not start
the car just made clicking noises and the gauges move up and down like defi gauges there are no lights on the dash only the immobilizer key and the power locking does not work what could be causeing this to my baby
what could be the problem , i dont drive the car much only for week ends and the car has only got 50,000kms

Battery troubleshooting basics......
Did you leave the trunk open?
Interior light on?
iPod plugged in?
When you try to start, do the lights dim and go off?
Do you get one solid clunk from the starter, or multiple rapid clickettyclicks?
First thing is to heave on the battery terminals, by hand - do the clamps rotate at all?

-you state that the car has been sitting....how long as it been sitting without you turning on the engine? any vehicle that sits for long periods of time will drain the battery enough to the point where the battery does not have enough juice to start it. try jump starting it.

This means that once you get your battery situation taken care of, you need to reset the DCS/TCS. To do this, turn the car to "on", but don't start it. Turn the wheel all the way to the right, then all the way to the left. Then turn the key to "off". Once that is done, it resets the DCS/TCS and you can start as normal. If you don't, then they will be "off" and you will have those two sysmbols light up on your dash. It will actually clear itself after a few drive cycles, but do the reset anyway. This will happen anytime you disconnect the battery.............or in your case..........loose connection or have the battery drain below a certain level.
