Need a little help: I took my 2005 Rx8 out of the garage this past weekend and it started without a problem, next day I went to start it and the engine turns but it woul'nt start, all the lights in the dash come on, I checked all the fuses and they are ok, while the engine is turning trying to start the check engine light remains on, the car did not make any unsual sounds before this problem, any idea of the problem I'm having?

How long did you leave it started? If you just started and stopped it, you probably flooded it. You need to search the forums for de flooding procedure. If you started it, let it warm up completely, you probably have a diff problem, but sounds like a classic start/stop to me.

Miami, I do not believe is flooded, I have already done the procedure according to owners manual.

1 w/ gas pedal down turn engine over 8-10s
2 rest for 10-15s
3 repeat above steps 4 more times
4 try and start
5 repeat steps 1-4 3 to 4 more times
Otherwise, check fuel pressure, spark, etc. Pull your spark plugs and see if they are wet with fuel, etc.

Sorry, I am up by Orlando.
I had similar problems with old plugs and coils. Went away when I changed both. Problem is getting the gas out of the rotors. There are several schools of thought. First time I did it, I ran down the battery, charged it, then it started. Some suggest a tow till it starts approach. Others have used starter fluid, but try not to use too much.
Can you smell gas coming out of the tail pipes. It will smell pretty bad, not quite like raw gas, but pretty bad. That is a flood. I can tell you that after plugs and coils, mine does not do it any more. I kept the original wires.

Age is likely working against you as well. When you first turn on the car, do you hear a chirping sound? Kind of like a belt squeak? Coils will make, or some say they make, a sound like that. I heard it.
Step one is get started, then worry the other stuff. Your description matches flooded. 6 year old coils and plugs make it easy to flood. I was able to get mine running with the foot to the floor method and a battery charger. If you have one of those little jumper packs, it would not hurt to add that as well.
There is a fuel pump relay that people pull. I do not know if all the ECU flashes have the de-flood mode. If you do not have it, pulling the fuel pump fuse will do it. If it starts to try to run, just shut down and put the fuse back in.
Good luck.
