RX8 won't start after insurance got a hold of it
So I was driving on the expressway and it started raining really hard. Going about 60mph my 2004 RX8 started to slide. I tried to correct it but could not and went into an uncontrollable spin. The rear end up hit the wall and damaged the bumper, exhaust, light, and bent the frame. The car started back up and drove fine like nothing happened. Took it to the insurance company and they said the would fix it. Upon further inspection they totaled it out and gave me back the car. Now it won't even start! Any suggestions on what to do next?

Most likely they flooded it as shop often move cars for few feet and turn it off.
Local shop flooded mine once and I had to go there and deflood it myself. :P
Try deflooding, and go from there.

You really need to give us many more details. There are a thousand reasons an engine won't start... Battery, starter, wiring, no key in the ignition, major engine damage, too much fuel, too little fuel, no spark, intake is clogged with puppies, clutch switch (P/N switch if you have an automatic), witch's curse... Where would you like us to begin guessing?

Needs programmed
The insurance company deprogrammed your key. They always do this when they total a car. Notice the idiot light shaped like a key that used to go out now stays on or blinks. A Mazda dealer can reprogram it. There are some programmers out there that can do the job but kinda expensive for 1 job.
I would be interested how you got the car back and the price diff from walking away? And what insurance company.
They usually auction these cars to wreckers.

Who gets an automatic RX8? Anyway it's a manual transmission. I've had two replacement engines while it was under warranty. I have flooded the engine several times before and I don't think that's the problem. When I put the key in the ignition and turn it nothing happens. There is no sound of any kind. The battery is charged so the horn and headlights work. The instrument panel lights up and the door chimes. List of what doesn't work: dome light, power seats, parking light, mirrors, windows, radio, and the air doesn't turn on. The fuses are good. Remember all this worked before the insurance and their shop got a hold of the car. Travelers Insurance company agreed to give $8,000 or make the repairs. I wanted the car repaired so they started working on it and taking it apart. Then said it would cost more than the original estimate. I'm expecting to get my RX8 in the same condition Travelers received it. So I chose to get the RX8 and $4900 back. The car was towed back to my house and they said they lost the bumper somewhere along the way. I still had full coverage on this vehicle.
