Hi guys, I searched and only found stuff about my hood/trunk being ajar. Checked that and no luck.

For the past two weeks, my '05's key fob will not unlock the doors. It will lock them and open the trunk, but no dice for getting in. Makes me look like a jackass when you can't open the door for a girl without unlocking driver side then running back around.

Remote battery? Car itself? Stick the remote up my pee hole?

Update: Right after I posted this I drove my car 5 minutes, locked it, forgot something inside and the key fob unlocked the car. Could it be my car battery running down while it sits?

 

If the cars battery doesn't have enough charge to unlock the doors then it definitely wouldn't start. I doubt that's the issue.

Perhaps the button on the key fob itself is getting worn out? Try mashing it hard and wiggling it around whilst pushed.

 

I've got the same issue, only two bad remotes. Both have new batteries in them. Tried a reprogramming step from another thread with no success. Looking for more ideas. Anyone?
