when i first get into the car "cold" and i try to shift from first to second i feel a grinding .........does ne one know what this is? it goes away after a couple minutes.

 

if i remember correctly its because the transmission fluid doesnt warm up right away. so once the fluid is warm the transmission will feel smoother. mine doesnt grind but it feel rough when i first start mine up also. just let it warm up a little bit more and you should be smooth all the time.

 

yeah, I get something like that. When I take it out of the garage to warm it up, when taking it out of reverse, it's a little hard to take out. but that's it.

I had that grind last winter but switched to synthetic tranny fluid for this winter. The problem is gone even when the temp is below 0F
