Shifting issue
First off, I did a search, but to no avail I can't find a direct answer..
I have a 2004 RX8 (6-spd) 80k, and the issue shifting just started.
Shifting from 1st to 2nd above 5500rpm causes a grind and won't slip in until rpm slow down, anything below 5500 it's fine, and when shifting down into 2nd it grinds before slightly going in.
I hear replace the clutch or replace 2nd gear in the tranny, some say replace the Synchronizers and even something about the engine mount collapsing causing displacement.
And if it helps, I bought the car used a couple weeks ago, replaced the coils/wires/plugs/oil/filters and now at idle im getting a decent vibration, not sure if I blew a sensor or its related to the motor mount causing the shifting issue too.
Anybody had this issue and actually resolved it? Any help is appreciated!
