TX Shrieking Noise From The Passenger Rear Side

I recently got a 2009 mazda rx8 sport trim auto a few months ago. Recently when I start accelerating or when the car is running regardless of speed, a bizarre shrieking noise comes from the passenger side towards the rear. At first I thought it was coming from front or underneath the hood. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this noise? Coudl this indicate that break pads are nearing end of life and need to be replaced? or something just got stuck in the wheels that causes the noise?

Squirrel you have spinning that wheel sounds like he is pissed off to me.

Could be a bunch of stuff - only way to know is to get a look at it. Some guesses in no particular order of importance:

* Something is rubbing.
* Brake caliper is seized and is holding the pad against the rotor (telltale here would be the heat being generated by the friction).
* Severely damaged wheel bearing.

Good news, the car doesn't make that noise anymore. Took it over to North Park Mazda and my front rotors needed to be cut and replaced front pads. That did the trick!
