slow accelaration

Recently after i drove a few other rx8's in my area i notice that mine it doesn't pull as hard as others, so i decided to go in a "safe place" with no traffic and race from 3rd gear to redline.

Mine has:

Aem CAI, R magic exhaust and R magic high flow CAT(checked and is good).

my friend's rx8 is bone stock.

we both have new coils, wires and spark plugs and same compression (~97 psi front, ~96 psi rear)

we raced several times and i always lost by 1 car and he always pass me after 7000 rpm.

NO check engine

What do you think is the problem????????

weight, tire/wheel size, what mods does he have, not every car is gonna be the same. sorry but this is a dumb question there are a million variables for this outcome. and racing on public roads will probably get this thread closed.

Question

Dirty MAF giving you bad a/f ratios? Semi clogged injectors? Those are my only guesses..

we race on a road that is not in use any more ..... so no traffic ....

as i said my friend have a bone stock rx8 ... we have the same tire size and both stock wheels

we tryied several times and after the 7000rpm mark he is gone and i'm sure if we continue is going to open the gap ....

these cars will not be identical. there are too many factors to think that they will perform exactly the same. then consider the driver maby your friend is better. im guessing this is a rolling start? maby he is at a higher rpm when you start your "race"

we both start from 3500rpm after we push the horn 3 times in 3rd gear so we don't have a driver factor.

we also switch cars and we got the same results ...

i mean with my exhaust and aem CAI i should stay at list with a stock one thats why i'm consern that i have a problem somewhere.

Check my dyno day issue in the Canada forum.

I had a leaky SSV actuator

No CEL but top end power was 155 @ the wheels

Way too many variables as mentioned before that might have cause the slower acceleration.
