smoke after replacing coils, wires, and plugs...

smoke issue with video
Well a few days ago i unplugged my battery and let it sit for 15 min or so then did all the resets and went to start my car. When i did, it wouldnt idle. I knew it needed to be ran a few times before it would idle but the problem didnt fix itself. So i figured id check everything over and clean the maf and i ordered new plugs, wires and coils. Well after i cleaned the maf i went to start the car and it poured smoke... so at this point i just parked it and waiting for the parts to come in. Once the parts came in i started to install them, at which point i realized that the maf wasnt even plugged in... So once i installed everything and double check all the wires and plugs, checked the firing order, i started the car. It poured tons of smoke out the back. I have flooded my car at once point before but i dont remember it being that much smoke. though i could be wrong. The car idles fine though, it runs like it should, because i went to rev the engine to clear it out a bit and it revved smoothly, and only up to 2.5k of course, I am assuming there is just tons of fuel in the engine that needs to be burned out. Like i said, when i started the car it idles perfect. And even letting it sit itll still idle fine. it just smokes really bad. So would the engine being flooded be the best guess of the smoke? anyone else have any other ideas of what could be going on? edit: coolant levels are fine

Did you unplug the battery again after realizing the MAF sensor wasn't plugged in and after you changed the plugs and wires?
Double check again. Condition and level of the oil is OK right?
It is probably just a lot of gas or whatever in there from not having the MAF sensor plugged in. If all else looks OK I would run it a while and see if the smoke clears or other issues surface.

Yeah all fluid levels are good. But i didnt unplug the battery after doing the plug and what not. Ill give that a try. And ill do all the other resets as well. Then let it idle for a bit and see what happens

well i just ran it for a good 10min and it wouldnt stop smoking. I kept it revved at about 2-3k for alil bit and the smoke didnt stop. It didnt get worse, but it stayed roughly the same amount. Of course there was alil less smoke at idle then when being revved. I also took a video of it and im about to post it up. There is also moisture in the tips of the muffler. not alot, but a little bit just pooled up by the end of it. Again, it runs like a champ. i reset everything, battery and all the memories. Im stumped at this point. Itll start right up without any hesitation. So i know the plugs and coils are in properly. There are no check engine lights on, no coolant light, oil lights, nothing. Its really bizzare. edit:added video, ignore voice

does the video lead to anything?? if it also matters any, it still smokes after i turn the car off. Not as much as when its runnning, but itll still kinda come out for a few min or so after the car is turned off

Guess I would carefully drive it a little bit while monitoring everything! All fluids!
Then I'd check them all when I got back.
It doesn't appear to be coolant smoke.....it doesn't smell sweet does it?
I wouldn't worry about the moisture at the tips unless it is coolant, and you better be careful testing that. You know how hot those tailpipes get!

That looks like steam. What is the ambient temperature when your seeing this? And does it still do it when you've driven for a while. 30 minutes to an hour.
And of course I have to ask. Did someone stick a garden hose up your tail pipe?

Ha Ha ha............that's what I was thinking!
Maybe there is a garden hose in the intake?
Thing that bugs me is it runs fine. Well..........he hasn't driven it yet, but it seems to be okay at idle or rev'ing.
Think it's time to go for a calculated, and careful spin.

haha yeah thats what im stuck at. It runs fine from what ive seen... it seems that everytime i run it, theres less smoke. and no it doesnt smell sweet, it doesnt smell like fuel, and all my fluid levels are fine still. I think tonight i might take it out for a slow drive just to see what happens.

After slow drive, if nothing appears wrong, then I think I'd run it up to redline a few times in 2nd(3rd if you have enough space and speed limit) carefully and see what happens.
Hard to imagine you could have that much moisture(water) in there. Did you go to a rag *** gas station lately or go through any significant standing water?

update: Well i ran the car till it warmed up, it didnt really smoke as much as it has been. I revved the world out of it for a bit. let idle. and the smoke stopped. So i figured problem solved... Well i went out to start the car a few min later and now it doesnt want to hold an idle... But it still runs fine if i keep my foot on it just to keep it running. Any ideas now? and it also seems like everytime i start it i get a bit of condensation on the exhaust tips then once it heats up it goes away... i find that weird. Its kinda warm around here, kind of humid too. but its never done this before...

So im getting condensation out the back EVERY TIME i start my car. and now itll run perfectly fine sitting still and revved up in my driveway. But when i go for a drive itll stall everytime i stop... No misfire, no loss of power, but when i do start it after its been sitting for awhile i smell a burning smell of sorts... kind of like fuel, but then again not really... im stuck again. Anyone?

I had something similar when the o ring for my maf was pinched and the car ran rich. from then on the extra fuel damaged the front o2 sensor. By doing this the car would run and idle rough. It would run down the road fine except at a stop it would almost die. I believe this is your problem.

hmm. well thats a possibility. But that doesnt explain the condensation i get all the time... Im starting to think its time for a new engine. Which sucks because i am out of warranty (107k).
