Solenoids: are K5T49090 and K5T49091 the exact same part?
Hey everyone, I'm getting codes P2259 and P0661, which pertain to those lovely solenoids behind/under the intake for SSV and the air pump. In shopping around for parts, I found solenoids for some older Proteges and 626s with the model number K5T49090. The ones I pulled from my RX-8 ('05, M/T) are K5T49091. They appear to be the exact same, but I can't tell without testing them side-by-side. That eBay seller seems to think they are, but I wanted to confirm here. The price difference for these new is quite high.
Thanks!
Thanks!

the way it works are slightly different.
the original one is not that expensive. I can get it for much cheaper
but u can always go get some from Dorman, it's made in China but hey I mean it's just a solenoid there is no super duper rocket science behind it, and it comes with lifetime warranty, I don't see why not

How much so? Enough to be a problem?
Like OEM original, not just K5T49091? Where? I'd like to do that if I can, unless the Dorman ones are significantly cheaper.
That's kinda what I figured, should be super simple. Not sure why they cost anywhere north of $30. Those Dorman ones seem kinda okay (lifetime warranty is nice, that's kinda what I did with my ignition coils). Kinda wish AutoZone had some on hand. I could go grab them and do this thang tonight, if that were the case.
Since two of the three are needing replaced, would you recommend going ahead and replacing all three? Getting to them is a bit of a pain, and I don't want to have to do that more than is necessary.
Thank you very much, sir. Always enjoy learning about my 8.

Actually, if you could carefully discern the factory OEM to one that is similar, it will work. Mine came from an NB Miata when I purchased it in eBay three years ago. I think I took pictures(I may have to update them) when I did my own DIY in this thread: P2259 Locating the Air Solenoid.
