Quick question for anyone who knows...

I just bought an '04 with 55,000 miles 2 weeks ago. Manual transmission... I have absolutely loved it so far. The only thing that has not been perfect is that whenever I make a turn (either direction, but seems more noticeable when turning left), i get a sort of clicking noise that sounds like its coming from almost directly under me. The sound is very similar to the sound of a piece of gravel kicking up and hitting the bottom of the car. The car has to actually be moving for it to make any noise, simply turning the wheel while sitting still doesn't make a sound...

The dealership that I bought it from is not a Mazda dealership, and the car came with a 30 day warranty. I took it by to get them to check the sound out, and after leaving it with them all day they told me that the sound is completely normal. They said it is just noise from "frame bend, that happens since the car has suicide doors." They say that this "frame bend" noise occurs in all RX-8s.

Is there any validity to what the dealership is telling me, or are they just trying to make stuff up until the car isn't under warranty anymore? Any input would be much appreciated!

tighten down the lug nuts to 108 lb/ft and see if that helps

but sounds like BS, my '04 with 70,000mi. has no such noise although i did have the intermittent steering problem along with others in my area.
