Hi people
This has to do with my brother's car not mine. We went on a trip for 15 days while his car was sitting in the cold garage (at freezing point), and when we came back, the car was flooded.
I proceeded to deflood the car by using the service ports and injecting them with wd40. Then we cleaned out the plugs and after several trials including replacing the starter motor (he has the weaker one) with my stronger one, it finally started.
I let it idle for 10 minutes and then take out for a short drive. Everything was fine.

This morning, my brother took the car out and went to the nearby mall, which was at least 8km away from the house. When he came back, the car could not start in the parking lot.

no idea why...

anybody?

 

how about some actual useful information that might help determine the cause of todays no start?

 

Could be a bad battery, bad coils, bad plugs, or a weak starter. Could be that the car didn't get warmed up enough on the 8k, short trip to the mall. It could be the combination of 2 or more, if not all of the things I've mentioned.

 

well we just managed to pinpoint the problem. It seems like that the starter just died.

too bad for me, because it was my starter, and now i have to run my car with the weaker starter while trying to look for some more powerful ones.
