Sputtering

I've searched lots, but wanted your opinion
Just a couple days ago I was accelerating to get into traffic. and in first gear, around 6k acceleration wasnt as strong. and then around 7.5 or 8k it sputtered and lost power for a quick second.
It happens any time I try accelerating like this. in any gear.
What do you think?

Please give us the history on your car. The service it's had and parts replaced. Model year miles, type of driving it gets(long commutes), fuel used(reg or prem), oil type and consumption, ever flooded, red lined. Just any thing that you can add.
You might have some carbon build up from a lot of short trips and not seeing the red line much. You might run a few cans of Seafoam, BGK44 or another carbon cleaner. It could need a fuel filter&pump combo.

an 04 manual transmission. I always fill up with premium. which is 91 octane. I use 5w20 full synthetic (castrol)
it has 94,000 kilometers - around 57XXX miles
It's my daily driver. I do redline every once and a while. at least 6 or 7 times a week.
I just bought the car four weeks ago. so I'll look into the history of the parts and get back to you.
I have a can of sea foam too I might try that out.

There's your problem... you bought a used car.

The first thing you do is give it a tune up.

Now I'm even more confused... happy. but confused lol
It seems to have fixed itself. it runs like a whole new car.
no more dying out. and the acceleration is way stronger.
you think it could've just been bad gas?

Doubt it if you've filled it up more than once since you've owned it. You havent recently had the battery cable off and had no power to the computer or put aftermarket intake on it or somethin did you?

Go to your local meet. Have the guy check out your car.

I bet you need a tune up.
