Stall after high speeds

For the past three weeks or so i have been having a stall issue with my rx8. After the car gets warmed up and running at higher speeds like the interstate for a long time, once i put the car in neutral and come to a stop the idle gets sparatic and stalls on occasion. This only occurs after high rpms and the car is warmed up. it idles perfectly when the car starts and or is cool. if it stalls and dies, after the restart it fires up perfectly and runs with no problem, i had to change the battery about three weeks ago and i did both comp resets. (brake pedel taps and the odomoter button resets) i assumed it was the car relearning idle. Also i replaced the plugs and wires yesterday to see if that helped the problem and that was not a quick fix... any suggestions guys... any info would be a big help

well, i bought my 8 used... the guy that had it before me took off the stock air box and replaced it with a genaric cone filter. this was causing the motor to draw extremely hot air from the radiator when the car warmed up. I replaced the genaric intake with the REVi intake and duct. after the install i did both resets for the car ( the brake pedal taping and the odometer resets). The car has not died since. I am not sure if the resets alone would have done it, or if the intake had a major effect on the stalling issue, both were done at the same time. i will let ya know if it stalls out again.

First, I did that brake tapping reset the other day and it has ran fine for two days now. It started happening like 2 weeks ago. I bought my car used as well about 4 months ago. My previous owner also took out the intake box and put a big generic plastic cone filter on. They left the tube in for directing hot or cold air the engine bay. I had taken it out recently because i was getting a new bumper on and i saw it as useless because it wasnt hooked to anything. But the problem had started before i took it out. So im not sure how it started.

when the previous owner replaced the intake he also left the stock air tube that goes inside the bumper... i found that this is pretty much useless wihtought a box for it to flow into ... i hope your resets fixed your problem ... as for me that one reset alone did not do it, ... hope for you it did though .. keep me updated
