is it the starter problem?
I have this strange starting procedure, mostly when cold start, I have to turn and hold key until starter kicks in. Went to dealer few times, they checked and cleaned connections/starter saying it is good. Once the starter turn, strong and crank fast, engine fires up within seconds. Drive all day stop/start with no issue, some time it goes for week with no issue.
Is the starter solenoid? I do not hear the click...
I think it is electrical connection contact issue. looking for idea for steps for trouble shooting?

I had a similar issue recently and it was a leak at the fuel pump. Pressure was not holding while the car was parked for a long time. It was bleeding off slowly, emptying the line, and making cranking times longer since it took a second or two for fuel pressure to build to the proper PSI.
I only noticed the issue because I have a fuel pressure gauge since I am turbocharged and I knew it was not my starter, battery, plugs, or ignition coils, because they are all are brand new. Normally with the key in the on position and the gauge powered up, my pressure never drops below 60psi but after it sat all night pressure was down to 10-15psi and would not build until the engine was cranked for a couple of seconds. It might be a good idea to pull the back seat bottom and fuel pump cover to verify you don't have a slight leak. I don't know how I did not smell it but I didn't
