Starting the engine cold
So I bought my Rx8 a couple weeks ago and I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if this was an issue or not.
When I start the engine when its been sitting for a day or when the engine is cold is will idle at around 1500 rpm until the engine heats up. Just wanna know if thats common and I dont have a bigger issue on my hand.
Thanks

On the rx7s its called the "AWS" accelerated warm up system. (or accelerated wear system people like to call it) Some delete it on their rx7s.
not sure if you can delete the AWS on our rx8s, but its normal. dont worry about it.

Cobb AP can access those idle speed tables I believe.
The Mazmart Series 1 oil pressure modification allows higher pressure which helps with cold start oil flow.
