starting trouble...
ok guys, i had a problem starting the car twice today in less than an hour. The engine was turning, but the car would not start. After 2 minutes of letting it set briefly, i tried it again, and it worked. I am assuming that the spark plugs need cleaning or something else, but i dont know what.
would u give me pointers on what other things it could be, i am another one of those guys that doesnt rely on the dealership to do it for me, and i would rather learn to do it myself. I am a noob, and i have already read another thread talking about how to clean the spark plugs/ change them if needed. Like i said, i just need to know what you guys may think is the problem so i am not correcting the wrong thing.
My RX has 34k on it, so i know it should be serviced, but the fact that i have heard all these negative feedbacks from guys going to the dealership, i feel it is a gutsy move to have them inspect the car for $90

See the service bulletin at the link below. If you have not had this service performed, take the car to a dealer and tell them you are having this problem. This is by far the best thing you can do for improved starting. Also make sure they do the 4206F recall which includes a software update to the PCM.
If they balk at performing this service, show them the service bulletin. If they still refuse to do the service, take the car to another dealer. Dealers vary greatly in their customer friendliness.
