Steering Light Illuminated
My wife noticed the steering light came on and the car is hard to steer. She cannot seem to find the power steering pump. I told her to check pwr steering fluid, but she said she can't find it, and the manual says take it to the dealer and doesn't show anywhere to put fluid in. She and I are not in the same location right now and I cannot help her. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing. Oh the car has 70K on it. Thanks in advance.

Never fear, Jedi is here!
You will not find the power steering fluid as our car has none. the steering is all electronic.
One of the more common reasons for this is due to the PS connection getting dirt inside and not making proper contact.
I actually had this happen to me 3 weeks ago.
You can try cleaning the connections out, sometimes this fixes the issues. Some people have reported that the issue comes back down the road while others find that this is a lasting fix.
Here is a thread with all the info you need: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-trouble-shooting-95/power-steering-failure-107481/
If you choose to clean the sensors, you'll need to remove the intake box. This isn't too difficult, just take a little time.
once you have the intake box removed, you'll see two grey connections; pull them apart and spray with electrical cleaner.
