Stock Alarm Problems (Driving my neighbors crazy)
Hello,
my Alarm has some weird Sht going on (excuse my french)
RX8 04 MT my stock alarm goes off at nights only. (Or at least that is what I have noticed) which seems pretty awkward.
I sat from 8 pm to 11pm in front of a starbucks just watching it and nothing, so I went to my house, parked it and 15 min in, out of nowhere it just starts going off. So I got in the car and said to myself, let sit here and see wtf is going on. next thing it was 9:00am today and the alarm did not go off a single time.
and this is the regular alarm i am talking about, ( horn and headlights)
I do not have the key FOB I only have 1 valet key. ( I have no Idea how much would this cost me at the dealer any ideas)?
Or how can I disarm the alarm manually with the valet key? is there like a trick or something?
Thank you,

I've had similar issues with mine, though there's an aftermarket alarm installed as well.
I noticed if I locked the car by using the electronic switch from the inside, or by using the key from the outside, the stock alarm would go bananas. I got around this by manually flipping the lock on the inside of the door, which, I believe, doesn't activate the stock alarm. It's a tradeoff, but it's better than having someone smash your car in or otherwise vandalize it.

You sure there isn't something/someone triggering your panic alarm remotely?
Had a buddy that bought one of those garage door opener scanners that will jamb/force the code on garage doors....and he used to drive around and randomly open garage doors for a prank
