STRANDED-->any help appreciated!

I was told even with the cobb ap all the maps would be erased and would go to strictly factory settings. As I said I didn't have one. No need to be a total dick. Just trying to help. Not like I said anything that would cause a total meltdown of the planet earth or his engine.

So the person who told you is giving bad advice, so it's not your responsibility that you are giving bad advice? I suspect that the problem matters considerably more to the OP than to you, even though it causes no meltdown of planet or engine. Sending him off in some random direction because of something you heard doesn't help.

thanks for the input....tried disconnecting the battery, appears to be no rodents or blockage anywhere in the intake (took the revi apart-looks normal) and i realize AP doesn't need to be reset or anything but that was an entertaining debate
is there any chance that my car could have flooded itself somehow based on what i described in original post?
only other thing to add is that i put in a new battery a month ago and there seems to be a bit more room in the tray (i.e. new battery is slightly smaller) allowing for a bit of movement. all connections are tight though.

ECU resets aren't his problem. Rats could be because it's happened to me, and others, in cases where the car has sat for a period of time. The fact that it doesn't seem to be a problem for him doesn't negate the suggestion being reasonable based on my experiences. (Not based on what I heard from some random guy.)

OP: Are you running the stock ECU tune? (If not, which one?) If you're running the stock tune, has the MSP-16 reflash been done on your car? (The dealer should know, based on the VIN). MSP-16 was issued to address flooding problems in 04's and 05's. (As far as I know, the Cobb stock tune is based on the MSP-16 reflash; I've had no flooding issues with it and the accessable tables seem to be the same as later-stock.) If you can get to them with the tools you have, pulling and inspecting the plugs should show if the engine is flooded. If it is, cranking with the plugs and fuel pump relay out, will help clear the excess fuel.

drive the thing if it will drive at all. Doesnt sound like a typical flooding problem to me.
I am hoping for the best out come here.
Sounds more ignition related.--if your compression is ok.

UPDATE: two of the ignition coils are no good. initially i didn't even consider the coils being the problem because my BHR wires/coils were installed 14 months ago (only 10 000 miles on them)....thought they were supposed to last longer than OEM!? everything else if fine.

i've spoken with Charles at BHR and he's going to take a look at the kit. he has been very helpful so far - excellent customer service! still cost me a couple hundred to get new stock coils and wires put in and all the diagnostics at the shop. car is running nicely again though
