tach revved to 9k when starting
i did some searching and couldnt really find an answer besides it being a possible memory reset so i just want a 2nd opinion:
i started my car up today (cold engine, about 50 degrees outside), and my tach swept all the way to 9k before coming back down to the starting 2k. this has never happened before and it really bothers me. anyone know whats up with this? the car is a 2006, 23k mi, new spark plugs installed 4k mi ago w/ bhr coils. coolant, diff, and tranny fluid replaced 100mi ago. i am the original owner.

nope, none of that since the engine itself didnt rev so no extra gas was given to the car....only the tach went to 9k. the car is MT also btw. i pushed in the clutch, started the car, and the tach went straight to 9k instead of the 2k it always did. the start was normal, took about a sec or less to start the car.
the mat was still on the hook.

would it be a big problem then? i know one of my LED parking lights went out and flashes the bulb non-stop. perhaps if i get it replaced it'll be fine at the crank? or would a new battery be in order?

Check your battery connections first. Clean them if necessary. Load test the battery. Check Alternator voltage output. Make sure the ground connections are secure/clean on the chassis.
