taking my car in tomorrow
Well, suffering from loss of power like most people with problems it seems like on this forum. Car really struggles between 1000 and 2000 RPMs. Idles hard and takes some decent cranking to start up. I've even had the car shut off a few occasions when stopping at a stop light when the RPMs went low. I'm actually kind of worried I will have some trouble getting it to the dealer tomorrow. Did everything I can do on my part, cleaned the throttle body, MAF, air filter, changed the oil and replaced the spark plugs. Was going to change the coils, however, after talking to a Mazda technician over the phone, he said it's not the coils because the CEL isn't on. So we'll see I guess. Wondering if this blistering heat has something to do with it, too (live in south Texas).
I have one quick question though, my RX-8 is a 2004 with 86k miles on it. I saw this TSB http://www.finishlineperformance.com...4-08-1924g.pdf
So does that mean if anything done tomorrow pertains to the lack of engine power it should be covered by the warranty and be free? I've spent enough money on this car, would like Mazda to be somewhat accountable as well.
