Temp guage problem
what up.. got a small problem with my water temp guage rising under high rpm driving.. I mean 7 to 9000 rpm... Fine any other time.. even with the air on full blast at idle. Any info would be much appreciated.

maybe something with the lower coolant hose restricting because of the suction at high rpm?? i had a leak and replaced that hose with another oem piece and flushed the system.

Mine was moving out of the normal range when the revs were high, then would drop down to normal at idle. I took this to mean that water was not moving out of the engine and into the radiator fast enough, but once at idle, the radiator/fans were able to cool it down (as opposed to other temp related issues where it overheats while sitting idle and turns out to be bad radiator or fans).
I replaced the water pump and thermostat with Mazmart's REmedy pump and therm and I can't even get the car warm enough for the fans to come on now! I think I was probably due for a thermostat replacement, and I'm sure even the OEM unit would have solved my problem. Do your fans run a lot? Mine were gradually running more and more often and for longer after I shut the car off even before the gauge started moving.
