Temperature of your A/C

Temperature of your A/C
My troubles continue with Mazda over the vent temperature. If you could (this is from the service manual) Place a dry bulb thermometer in the center vent. Start the engine and run it at 1500 rpm set fan speed to 4 close doors and windows set to recirc. vent mode let it stabilize. The tempgauge should read 43 to 46. up to 86 degrees outside temp.
Mine reads 52 degrees.....What does yours read??? A test of the perfance of your A/C
Mine ----s.........

I borrowed a digital temp gage from a mechanic (freind of mine). stuck it in the vent for two days. Lowest recorded reading was 50 highest was 54. At idle it was averaging 52 just like yours. Outside temps ranged from mid 70's in the morning to high 80's in the afternoon. I have already had the amplifier replaced and wrapped the A/C line with insulation. I'm not sure its going to be worth it to bring it in to the dealer again for the A/C. One question I have is What is the acceptable operating temperature range of our A/C system? Are you sure Mazda spec's 43-46 deg's?
If thats the case then I will try one more time to get more cooling out of the mazda dealership.
Thanks
Andy

After checking
We compared four thermometers together and checked the A/C temp again. We have determined that it cycles from 44 degrees up to 48 degrees. This is acceptable within the Mazda specs. We read a new Toyota truck and it cycled between 40 and 44 degress but for some reason feels much colder in the cabin. I would like for my 8 to be lower but this is probaly all I am going to get out of this small of a unit (<1 lb. freon).....
