Test Pipe Trips Eng Light
i've been reading a lot of the other posts related to the cel codes associated with the straight pipe. My car tripped 2 codes, p0139 and p2096. I got them read at the zone and im just curious if there are n e fixes for them besides putting the cat back on. I've checked the pipe for leaks and retightend the bolts on the pipe to make sure there were no leaks. I do have one of those o2 adapters. The eal with the o2 adapter though is that my buddy got the same one for his pipe on his 8 and his works just fine. The only difference between our cars is mines turbo and his is not. The catch though is that I was not throwing any codes before when I had the cat on. The biggest worry I have is that 2096 with the leaning out thing. My AFR still reads 14.7-14.3. Any suggestions?

The CEL is because the 2nd O2 sensor is detecting that no emissions are being burnt off. Its the PCM's way of saying your cat has failed, but since you replaced it with a straight pipe, you already knew that.

accesport or you can do the spark plug defouler trick. You screw it in to the pipe and then put the sensor in. That way the sensor is out of the direct flow and heat it will read your cat is doing its job and you wont throw a SES.
