Thank You RX8 Forum!!!!
I just wanted to take a few minutes out of my busy day to say Thank You RX8 Forum. You guys have saved me a lot of Time and Money. My son has a Mazda RX8 and his dad (me) is the mechanic but....he's learning a lot too. From DeFlooding tips, to water in the Taillight, Sunroof recall, and now after tearing apart his passenger door to replace the Window Lift Motor (which after reading in the Forum, where we found out about a Passenger Lock Button, which was the problem all along) tonight we'll put his door back together and Thanks to this Forum, I saved $229 dollars in NOT buying a new motor. Our next project will be his Coolant Reserve Bottle that has a Sticky float inside the bottle which activates the Engine Service Light. Hopefully, I'll find its just a Sticky Float Safety Button, haha, but I doubt it.
Anyways, Thanks to everyone for their Postings, Questions, Answers and Positive Feedback.
Regards ....Rocket n Son

Though I'm moving this out of the DIY subforum, since it's a place to post 'how to do' something, and this does not fit that description.
A side note about the coolant tank. The sensors are prone to failing, and you have to replace the entire bottle to repair since it's integrated with the bottle itself. Mazmart or a junk yard are your cheapest options. I am also assuming that you are referring to the coolant warning light, NOT the Check Engine Light. There are no CELs that I am aware of that would be caused by a coolant sensor malfunction...

Thanks for moving post to the correct place. I think its the Check Engine light and when I Unplug the coolant reservoir plug from the tank, the light goes out so I'm really just assuming its the same problem. I'll be installing new brake pads this weekend, so I think I'll pull the Coolant Tank as well and thanks to you, I think I'll check out Mazmart tonight. Thanks ....Rocket
