Thermometer not working

Have tried searching and cannot find anything on this.

My Thermometer / temperature gauge is not working on Monday I set off and the temperature on the radio screen was working and then later that day I noticed it had stopped working. Where it used to tell me the outside temp there is nothing just a black space. I am guessing it is a fuse but I cannot find a fuse relating to it. I checked all the internal fuses and replaced a fuse that was unrelated (cigarette lighter) still not change. I checked under the hood and looked at a few fuses but could not find any that were blown fuses. Nothing else in the car that I have noticed has stopped working.

Does anyone one which fuse affects this of what might cause this problem?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Could be rock damage, the sensor is a tiny pen-top looking item on the drivers side of the lower front opening. Check the wires.
