TPMS Issues

TPMS Issues
Picked up my new 8 Friday....20 minutes later, TPMS light was flashing. I took the car back Monday, and they said somebody had changed the wheels. So they "reprogrammed" the system and let me take it home. Not more than 10 miles, and the light was on again. Now they have it for two days. Anybody else had this issue? Makes me kinda worried when it's a brand new car.

There's not much to "program" regarding the tire pressure sensors.... They calibrate themselves when they work right (when you rotate tires and such).
When you say they changed "wheels" do you mean a new or different type of rim?

No calibration either. TPMS wheel unit auto registration maybe. Read this if you're interesting in TPMS details: http://www.finishlineperformance.com...02-004-04.html
Any idea what they meant by "somebody had changed the wheels"? Is this a brand new car?

I think what the Dealer meant was they thought you or some one had put on aftermarket wheels, which would cause the TPMS sensor to come, due to absence of the sensor itself. That's just typical Dealer response. No Big Deal.
