I posted another thread about the issue I came into. Stupid annoying but I can't get the transmission detached from the engine. I am positive I have absolutely everything off from the car that I need to. Power plant bar, starter, shifter, drive shaft, bolts and master/slave... all off the car but the stupid thing won't come off!
New engine was just installed 3 months ago so I can't imagine a miracle seal showed up on this thing, I don't get it. Everything about removing the above parts went pretty smooth (except for the power plant bar, the bracket on the top of the transmission that keeps the top power plant bolts from spinning broke and I had to McGuyver a solution). I am at an block with getting the transmission to let go of the engine. Had two of us jimmying the damn thing, the whole engine goes with it!
Talk about frustrating.

Once I got the two bolts off the top of the transmission mine came away quite easily. Pain in the butt to get back on though but managed it eventually. You did get the 5 bolts off that secure the clutch to the engine I take it, one behind the starter 2 at the bottom on each side and the two that are on the top above the exhaust manifold. Other that that it sounds like you got everything.
Hope you manage to get it off, those 2 bolts at the top were a right pain I had to go to the shop to but extra tools to remove them.

Yeah I am positive about all bolts on the bell housing. I had a crazy long extension for my ratchet to get to both of those and even took off my mid pipe for easy access to them. None of the bolts were and issue aside from the top power plant bolts.
I am going to give it another shot tonight when I get home... right now I am looking at 2 hours removing all the parts around the tranny... and over two hours of trying to get the damn thing off the engine!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! it was the fricking pilot bearing. REALLY?!?
Car down for two weeks and hours of taking her apart and a $12 part was the problem. Glad I don't need a new transmission or clutch but the smallest thing just made my car not work. That is kinda annoying!
Side note, I had to get her towed to a local shop to get the tranny off the engine. I could not budge it myself. Thank god for AAA!

Oh hey Lovah! Haven't seen you in a thread in a while.
$118 for them to figure out how to work on our transmissions?!? Wow what an amazing shop! </sarcasm>
