Transmission/Clutch Issues
#26
Well, $1,600 later, I'm being charged for a new clutch assembly (pressure plate, clutch disk, pilot and release bearings) as well as a new flywheel and input shaft retainer which they say had bad grooves in them. anyone know what would cause the flywheel and input retainer to get grooved?
To top it off, the clutch assembly kit the dealer sold my mechanic turned out to be the wrong parts. they spent Saturday morning calling around, and the nearest place with the proper part is in Wisconsin. So I don't get my baby back till tonight or early tomorrow.

Well I reinforced the clutch pedal bracket and can definitly feel the difference if you havent done it ... do it, while it was out I greased up the spring and hinges.
I'm still getting that gritty feeling in the pedal, but it doesnt happen ecerytime the pedal is depressed and sometimes you barely feel it while sometimes its really noticable. I cant really describe the feeling other than it being gritty.
Ideas anyone thanks!?

So I've been doing some research on google and other automotive forums and some people are saying that it was their slave cylinder whats involved in replacing that/ where can I get my hands on one?
edit: or maybe its as simple as changing the fluid...
