Trunk Weatherstripping

Trunk Weatherstripping
Hey guys. Just replaced the weatherstripping in my trunk where the lid closes. I was just reading and a lot of articles say to use adhesive, but my old weatherstripping came out very easily and there is a thin rail of metal that the weatherstripping goes over. It actually goes up into the middle of the weatherstripping. Didn't look like there was any adhesive on the old one. Do I need to use adhesive???
Also could some people send me a few photos of their trunk weatherstripping. I just want to make sure I put it in right and I could use some photos to compare. There were some red marks on the new weatherstripping and I want to make sure I have them lined up where they are suppposed to be. Thanks.

Correct. It is pressed on the body. Just open the trunk and pull on the gasket to remove. As the post right above yours states, it is fitted onto a thin metal strip on the trunk body.
