OK, so a final (?) update to this. The stalling problem was pretty much gone, however the low power at lower RPMs and the hard starting remained. I replaced the battery just for good measure, but it still would take longer than it should to start. I then replaced the coils and wires w/ the BHR kit (had some trouble with the plugs...wrong tools and not enough time...so for now I still have the old ones) and both the long start and low rpm problems are GONE. I had one stall-out followed by a very hard start, out of the blue...I suspect that the stalling thing is NOT related to the other problems, but something, maybe electrical, that gets messed with and corrects the problem, as I had it occasionally, got in an accident which was repaired and it went away, had the dealer do some tests which brought it back, and then had more tests which made it go away. Ha ha ha gremlins....but the starting/low power issues were definitely coils/wires.

My testing was $150. Compression came back low and I got a new engine. I just got the car back last Thurs. They did not require receipts for maintenance but I had them regardless. I handed them off to the dealer and they put them in my file just in case I have issues in the future. Good luck!

i had a similar problem, stalling, rough idle and just running like crap, then found that one of my ignition wires wasnt fully secure on the plug. perhaps the same had happened to you
