Uh-Oh White Smoke+ Spray
2004 AT RX-8
So I'm rolling down the highway. Car has been running for about 40 minutes now so everything is warm. Stop at a red light so I figure this should be my every other daily high rpm (so I can deal with any carbon build up) acceleration time.
So I take off (pedal maybe 3/4ths the way down) 1st gear gets to about 6500 rpm and I hear what sounds like a (flat tire / if you've ever bought a bad retread tire / when truckers make that alligator peel / skin) then the sound stopped as if something flew off the car and white smoke begins pouring out of the exhaust. I immediately put it into neutral and cut the engine and coast into an empty parking lot down the road.
So I pop the hood and there appears to be oil spray everywhere over the engine (black/brown color) Put the car in neutral once more and push it back to see what also appears to be a large puddle of oil under the car. Wait 10 minutes > check oil > about 80%.
Car starts up just fine after that and I granny drive down to Auto Zone to check CEL. It was only 420 and I'm used to that as I have no CAT. By this time the smoke has stopped. I later clean and notice two hoses and can hear kind of a whistling sound coming from them while under the hood with the car running. They were two side by side, one w/ a red hose clamp (found to be fuel when pulled off) and a blue clamp (found to be oil it seems when pulled off) Seemed kind of loose so I put a new hose clamp on it JIC.
Anyways oil level still going down after drives, white smoke still goes for about 10 minutes and then stops. I moved to the middle of po-dunk nowhere so the nearest steal-ership is an hour away. And searches here seem to point to (the Oil Control Ring Seal going bad.) Is that the flat tire sound I heard and do these symptoms to the best of your knowledge point to (the Oil Control Ring Seal going bad.)?
Thank you for any help in advance.

Not very. I had a mechanic look at it real quick. So far oil level is steady and I don't think it's smoking anymore. Sucks though because its cold as hell outside, but since its not lingering I account it to the temp difference. I'll keep y'all posted. Praying this was / is a simple fix.

Dannobre had it right sort of. Had to piece all this together. Main oil line (blue hose clamps for gen 1) failed. Line was under pressure and popped off just enough to spray everywhere. Intake slurped it up and ruined the air filter and helped send some of my spark plugs to a premature death. Curse the man that invented collapsing / expandable tubing as it was incredibly hard to get all of the oil out of the ridges. Bits were occasionally getting pulled in which is why the smoke would come under high rpm. Anyways thanks to all that gave input.

The plastic line from the firewall to the intake one near the ABS pump with the blue connectors?...that is the EVAP line from the fuel tank???
Not sure how that would cause your problem??

Dunno if the original owner may have swapped the hose clamps or what, but I am 100% positive on MY 8 that the red was fuel and blue was oil.

Hmmm
Oil comes from the line in question. Has a blue hose clamp or should I say had. I could take a picture if that would help, though everything seems legit for the time being.

Maybe throw up a picture...you really have me wondering WTF is going on now
