Warranty Coverage on Coils, wires, and plugs
#2
Only covered under the drive train warranty...you can see if the dealership will warranty it. Check this though, once you have the dealership install them you get a 12mo/12k mile parts warranty...that is if you buy them there as well, so if they fail within that time you get them replaced for free.

TY everyone,
Long story short, car wouldn't start had it towed to dealer. They said it was flooded and during their testing they said it's misfiring and I need new coils and plugs. Being the lazy person that I am, I had the dealer do the work $599.00. I'm way past Warranty coverage but I knew of the TSB for hard start and ignition coils. I brought it to the dealer's attention and then contacted Mazda North America. I told them that based on my less than 5k miles a year and if they would fix the flooding under warranty, why wouldn't they do the same for the coils and plugs? Well I filed my complaint and i'm waiting to hear back from them.
Being that I had the car for 5 years and never flooded it before i never thought it could be flooded. (So much for revving till 4k rpm for 10 secs and shutting down) At most I thought it was the battery and I changed that myself.
Oh well I'll keep you posted as to the outcome.
