Washer Fluid Nozzle Issues

Washer Fluid Nozzle Issues
Hey all fellow 8 owners,
I have a question for the people on the website. It has been really cold but not as cold as some temps I've seen written on this website, it has been about 5-15 F degrees in the morning when I start my day. Now I start my 8 and let it sit idle and warm up for about 5-10 mins. My problem is, has anyone's windsheild washer fluid froze up and or the nozzles freeze somehow. Mine fluid doesn't come out when it is extremely cold like this. This morning it was 12 F outside and they didn't work. But tonight it was about 30 F and they worked fine. I just wanted to know if anybody else has experienced this problem and if they have any solutions to get it to work all the time. BTW, i did put the washer fluid that does not freeze until it's like -15 F outside. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanx again

damn! warming up for 5-10 minutes?!?
That's a total waste! If i do that i would be late to school!
and my school is 3 to 5 minutes away!
I ony warm up for 2 min max and drive to school and park it. Jesus 5-10 is too much my friend
when idling, the car might be idling at 2000 rpm or above in cold temperature. When it comes down to 1 , that's when you can drive, and as long as you see engine temperature move, the engine is warmed up. I even turn my engine off when the needle hits first dot from all the way to left when its cold
oh back to the question heh why would you use your windshield washer in such cold weather? it could freeze on the windshield

Ironic that you should be asking this question, LoveMy8, because I tried to use my washer fluid just yesterday and nothing came out... and I'm sitting in 55 degree weather at the present (if you can believe it, I actually hate this damn unseasonably warm weather)! I haven't checked my fluid levels, so I haven't made any attempts to pinpoint the source of the problem, but I don't think I've ever used my washer fluid as long as I've had my car.

I am having the same problem. My car is in the garage overnight. The temp is about 15 degrees when I head for work. The crud starts getting on the windshield right away, so I hit the washer, and it works fine. A couple minutes later only the pasenger side nozzle is working. Couple more minutes and both nozzles are either frozen or blocked. I am also using fluid that is rated to -15 degrees. This has happened at least 3 times this winter. If anybody has any suggestions, it would be appreciated.

I had this problem last winter and it showed up again this winter (multiple times). I resolved it the following way:
1) Drain all existing fluid.
2) Replace with Prestone De-Icer Washer Fluid.
I was extremely frustrated until I replaced the fluid with the above. There is nothing worse than travelling down a highway when you can't see through the winshield.
