weird idle
Ok a friend of mine has a 8 and here is the proplem.... somthing in the car keeps draining the battery. if it sits for a 24hr period she has to jump it. im thinking that it might be the factory gps that is draining it. when she first bought the car the gps was giving her a hard time coming on. the screen back light would come on and stay on but nothing else. after a few month it started working and seems to work fine. but now when she jumps the car she cant rev the rpms over 2500, doesnt matter if she is in gear or not. help us out!

Car is in limp mode......that's why no rev past 2500. Is there a check engine light(CEL) on?
In terms of not holding a charge on the battery, believe it or not, the most common thing is that the trunk is either open, or the switch is bad. Pull down the pass through panel inbetween the back seats and see if the light is on with the trunk closed.
It could also be the GPS and one way to find that out is to unplug it for awhile.
