Secondly Coolant is 20 times heavier than water with only 1/3rd the ability to transfer and carry heat. By running more water you can improve your engines ability to transfer more heat out. If you switch from 50/50 to 25/75 you have improved the coolants ability to carry heat by 50%. If you want to I can go over the thermal dynamics with you some other time. Just know that your not giving your cooling system all that it is capable of.
Yeah I am thinking I put too much coolant in too.

I tried that last year after reading some stuff the AZ guys posted and my temps were higher than running 50% distilled water and 50% 50/50 coolant.

9k, while you are flushing your coolant again, get the RE-Medy water pump. It reduced my temps by ~10C in combination with the Re-Medy Tstat. I'm also running the factory FL-22 coolant with not additives.

Looking at the OE water pump and RE-Medy's...it is clear that RE-Medy's is far superior.

My motor has the upgraded Mazda one but I will probably get the Mazmart pump and thermostat eventually. I am going to have to get some more FL22 though.
