What is considered 'Loss of power'?
When people say loss of power, im assuming it is just literally a loss of acceleration etc, but recently ive been revving the engine and when it comes back down the lights flicker once or twice, and my idle stays 750-800, what exactly could that mean?

"Power Loss" just means that there is less power than the car usually has. If the owner started with power loss, they might not realize it though.
And as for what could cause it...
- Coil failure
- Plug failure
- Plug wire failure
- Cat failure
- Compression loss
- Dirty MAF
- O2 sensor failure
- Fuel Filter clogged
- Fuel pump failure
- Battery terminals corroded
- Air filter clogged
- Fuel injectors clogged
- Fuel injectors leaking
- E-shaft sensor misaligned
- Fuel trims not set/reset
- Incorrect MAF scaling
- Carbon Buildup
- SSV failure
- Coolant seal failure
- Mental problems (including faulty memory and inability to drive)
And I am completely serious.

That's not power loss. It just not using the power that is available for another 2,000 rpm.
Another way to say it:
If someone driving a manual never goes over 7,000 rpm, are they experiencing power loss or simply not using the power loss?
