What does this link do ?

I got this link broken and have no clue what does it do.
Its only on left side and couldnt find any info about it in servise box.



Any tips ?

It is part of the headlight auto-leveler. One end goes to an potentiometer that measures it's rotational position (due to the ride height of the car it the arm will move this) and that is used by the internal computers to determine what angle to point the headlights.

I remove it, because it had broken screw into two pieces. Would it will do a lot of trouble ? Looks I will need find someone to fix it as I dont have right tools.

Your headlights may point down at the ground or up at the sky.
You'll get a warning light on the dash.

It is easy to replace. You can also open it and attempt repair. On one car we took a couple of broken units and swapped out parts to make one good one.
Make sure it goes back on the same way as the link can be reversed at least on the rear.
