I have been experiencing a similar resonating/vibration noise that happens under acceleration between 2000-3000rpm in gear. Sound appears to originate from the area behind the radio and slightly to the left. No loss of power. Its not loud and with the stereo on or when driving at higher speeds, I will barely be able to hear it. But it bothers me that its there. Like the other thread, it seems to get louder when the engine is hot and where I come from, that means I am noise-free for the first 10 minutes when the engine is warming up. Found out that my cat was not clogged. In fact, all the insides have been deliberately removed to make it a straight-through. Funny how CEL didn't come on. Put in a 1 year old stock cat. Smells good now... Tightened lower manifold heat shield/insulator which was the only thing loose. But the above resonating noise is still there. Brought it to a garage and the mechanics used sound amplication devices to listen to the sound and believe that it could be a crack in the exhaust manifold but this has not been removed to confirm yet.

Before I have the exhaust manifold removed, I would like to hear all your opinions. Is what I described consistent with a cracked exhaust manifold?
