White smoke from hood
I had my first engine flooding experience today. Taking the fuel pump fuse out and working with it for about 45 minutes solved that problem. I drove it from there to work, shut it off, and came back out after a couple of hours. I drove around for maybe 30 minutes and came back. When I shut it off and got out, I noticed white smoke coming out the front of the car, near the floodlight.
It didn't smell like burning, and I did not have a chance to look under the hood. I know I'm being a bit vague but I thought I'd hit this board up before I leave work. Has anyone ever experienced this after a flooded engine? Could it just be burning off some excess gas?

Look under the hood and get back to us. Without at least that its like playing a blind game of darts.
Did the smoke smell like anything at all, perhaps sweet? How much smoke was it and are you positive it was smoke.

I have this same issue. I see white smoke coming from the drivers side of the hood but I can't find a freaking leak. My coolant is still close to the same level in the r. tank but I don't know where the smoke is coming from. Also checked around some of the hoses and didn't find anything. The smell isn't sweet it's more of a burning smell so i don't know if its actually a coolant leak.

I'm not sure. It started about 2 months ago. I always check the ground for coolant and I never find any lol. After a good 20 minutes of driving upon coming to a stop I can see the smoke don't know if its steam though. The smell is definitely a burning smell though. If I turn on the windshield defroster (heater) I can smell it inside the car (you know how the defroster switches to the outside light etc). I guess ill take the guy aboves advice thats the only thing that sounds logical right now. No CELs, no other issues with car at the moment. Thanks guys
