So this happened like a week ago. You know how when you press "LOCK" twice on your remote the car will beep. Well now when I press twice it doesnt beep anymore and the lights dont blink to tell me that the car is locked. It does lock the doors but it just doesnt beeep anymore nor do the lights flash.
Why is this happening?

Ok so i tried all the doors, the hood, trunk and nothing. When I press the panic button only the lights flash and the horn doesnt sound. When I press lock twice it locks the doors but the lights dont flash and the horn doesnt sound. Maybe a fuse to the horn?

Besides a 15A horn fuse, there is also a relay that needs to be energized for the horns to sound.
You can try swapping it with another similar relay.
I believe the relay below it is the FOG relay and should be the same.
Look at the model numbers and verify they match.

Well to be frank, this is really stupid of me, but I decided to see if my horn works and it doesnt LOL. So I opened the fuse box and I pulled the relay that says "HORN" Im not sure how to test to see if its burnt or not.
So im gonna bring it to the dealer tomorrow and get another. Ill see if that works.

The DOOD abides.

If your horn doesn't work, how do you let the rest of the world know they are f'n idiot drivers! That horn has saved me from getting run over countless times! Not to mention you won't pass a safety test for your inspection.
Horns are important...get it fixed! Fuses are really easy to replace, if you've already pulled it out, you've done the hardest part.
Good luck!

Or, if you need a new horn. . . .

Sounds like some Italian Freight train. Though I've never heard one in person and I'm too cheap to get one myself.

UPDATE: So I went to the dealer. They put in a new fuse and it didn't work. They said they have to check the wiring for a diagnosis and it could take time. Since its not under warranty im not gonna spend few hundred dollars to fix a horn. Maybe it will magically start working again?

Hold down the lock and unlock simultaneously for 2 seconds it should turn it back on. Same thing if you wanna turn it off. this worked for my Nissan.

This happened to me. I figured out that if you hold both the locking & unlocking button down on the fob at the same time, in the vicinity of your car, the beep is turned off. I reversed this process & now it beeps again. Try it on yours.

Woow ... I have to say thank you man. I brought my car back from a body shop and after like 3 or so days, I ran into this issue. I don't know how it it started. Car would lock but doesn't beeb to confirm the lock as it used to do. I checked all the doors/trunk/hood and didn't work. The panic button button was working fine though. As you said, I tried this morning holding down the open and close button at once on the remote and it worked perfect. Thank you !

I was trying to figure out why my key fobs were not beeping when I locked the car.
Thank goodness my horn beeps so I didn’t have the problem the other person had.
Simple fix and I am so happy!
