will not start. tried jumping
its cold out and i have not drove the car in a month. i started it about 2 weeks ago. i tried starting it now and it struggles to turn over. i tried connecting it to another car and its the same thing. it just does not want to turn over. it is as though its not taking the power from the other battery at all. i know power is going to the cables and i get a spark when hooking up the (-) to a bolt under the hood. any ideas? when i try to crank the dash does some blinking. you can tell its just does not have enough juice. also the battery light is on. could it be a finished battery that needs replaced? i hope i dint flood it

did you leave the battery in the car for the whole month? Or did you keep it on a charger?
Chances are, your battery is pooched. If you have a bat. tester, see if your getting anything. If not, I'd say go get a new one.
Also, you may have flooded it. Is your car M/T or auto?

yes i let it warm up. the battery has been in the car. i have a tester at work i can get tomorrow. can i test it while its in the car? if i have to replace whats a decent battery to get thats not going to costs a ton of money but also is not a super cheap one? thanks
also the terminals were very corroded. they were not like this a few months ago. they were wet also. maybe condensation ? or acid?

literally the same thing happened to me, went to take the 8 out on a sunny day, previously it was giving me rough starts in the cold, but it always started. But this one morning it wouldnt start at all, tried jumping it, every trick in the book, still nothing. Got a new battery from Lordco, put it in and the car started like new, even with the old starter. No problems what so ever since i changed the battery, and i have an 04 with 122xxx km on it and the old starter..
