Angry Wont start.

Ive had my 8 for about a year. in the winter it start to start odd. like wind up then start tookd about5-7 sec to start. when it got warm it still started this way. did for the rest of the year. recently i tried fixing this.
got a new barrtery.
cleaned spark plugs
got new wires

car worked but still started slow

then started to backfire when shifting at high rpms and when decelerating after high rpms

so i seafoamed it the proper way. through the nipples etc.

car still work still started funny.

my next step was to change my ignition coils. but because i live in canada these are rediculously priced.

the day im going to buy them i start my car cold and move it without letting it warm up. which i know is bad but i know how to deflood and was not to worried about it.

later that day i go to start it and it just turns over and over and over and will not catch.

just spinning, so i didnt want to burn out my start so i stopped. thought i better go get those coils and see if that will fix it.

next day try to start it again now nothing.
turn key, lights come on, hear fuel pump start, and a click! then nothing
no turn over no trying to start nothing/

anyone have any ideas?!
i hope i didnt burn out my starter and if so why wouldnt it start before when it was turning over.

i mean it has start rough for around a year now. but always start. i just got funny looks from everyone (ting ting ting ting zrroommmmm).

any help would be great im lost. thinking starter, coils? i dono, maybe get new plugs instead of just cleaning mine, could it be the injectors? i dono
PLEASE HELP dont want to pay out the *** at the dealer.

sounds like it's badly flooded and perhaps low on compression as well . How many miles on it ?

Hmmm. Sounds like maybe you flooded it and then when you were trying to start it, killed the battery? Flooded or not, it should turn over. The click is usually the starter relay. If the starter relay is triggering and you can't turn the engine over, it's either locked up, the battery is not strong enough, or the starter is toast. The engine probably isn't locked up, so maybe one of the other 2. Have you done a deflood and tried to jump it?

when i was trying the deflood and what not i had jumped it. and its a brand ne battery anyways. because before i got that battery it did this once and killed it right away so i got a new one and it has been fine.

anyways
just went out to try again and this time it when back to trying to start but not.
which makes me think its the coils again.
dono why it wouldnt even try earlier. now it just whines wo wo wo wo wo etc.
no bang or even a putter

tried push starting it in the begining just slowly out of my drive way and it didnt work. which is has before when my battery was pooched. i was thinking about getting a good better push start (faster) and trying. but ill need to get some more people to push it back if it doesnt work. lol

Try full deflooding procedure according to the mazda bulletin. The full procedure is a little bit of a pain but it should work. You can have a battery jump-starter (I have a Black & Decker for less than $50 USD) to back up your battery.

Pull start it.......if it is a MT

If it is an AT...do it the hard way..pull plugs, disconnect the ESS sensor, crank it till the gas quits coming out of the plug holes......give each L plug hole a squirt or 2 from an oil can. Put in cleaned or new plugs.....reconnect ESS sensor.....start it....

The bulletin is called "Engine Cranks No Start." It can be found here:

https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-trouble-shooting-95/tsbs-technical-service-bulletins-183774/

What dannobre calls the ESS sensor is actually called ESPS (eccentric shaft position sensor) in the bulletin.
