Wont turn Over..New Engine & ECU..HELP
Hello, I'm new to the forum and need some help....
I purchased a 06 RX8 that had engine burn..I mean a real engine burn, it (all) was cooked.. So I just got done replacing the harnes, ECU, engine ect, ect, ect. I just tried to start it....everything comes on and I can hear the relay in the fuse block up front clicking but engine wont start. Note the key I have is the one I got with the car originaly but everything under the hood is from a different car..and I dont have the key from the new parts car. Help!

If you only have one key and it's not from the same car as the ECU, you are in trouble.
To meet Thatcham security standards, the car cannot easily accept any replacement keys.
It's simple to add keys to the car, but the procedure starts with the ECU recognizing TWO 'registered' keys, then it will accept the new key.
Needs to be reprogrammed to accept two new keys, prolly by the dealer. Buy a second key and get it cut, to register it with the ECU - don't pay a dealer to just register the one you have or you'll be in the same situation again.....
