WTH is going on...
I just bought my RX-8 last month. It's a 2006 GT, with 45k miles on it. When it is idling there is a rattle somewhere under the hood, I get about 12mpg, and the clutch squeals a little... if that makes any sense at all. Also my low tire pressure light flashes constantly! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am planning on taking it to get warranty work done... I live 2 hours away from the nearest dealership, go to school full-time, work, and have a child ... so it's difficult for me to find the time.
Stealth... I don't know why you have to be rude. I have no knowledge concerning rotary engines, that is why I came here to talk with people that do have that knowledge. If you don't have anything constructive to contribute to my question than maybe you should keep it to yourself.
Thanks for playin'

We need better details where is the rattle coming from, that one you'll have to just look around and try to find it.
Your tire pressure light is flashing cause you need to put air in your tires or you have a slow leak.
Have your plugs and coils checked, make sure the latest flash has been done when you take it in.
The clutch could be a few things. Have the dealer check it.
Honestly, not trying to be rude here but sounds like you should have done more research before your purchase. This car isn't like a Honda, you have to pay attention to it, check the oil every other week at a minimum add oil when needed. Your going to hear this a lot around here, you need to search, everything you asked has been discussed, recently even.
Good Luck.

Actually my husband bought the car... and I have tried to research on here but there are soooo many threads. We love the car and it was a one owner vehicle with no previous problems according to carfax. I have added air to the tires but the light flashes no matter the psi... the rattle under the hood is pretty consistent at idle... it gets louder when the ac is on. I'm definitely taking it to the dealership, but it does need new plugs and that is something the dealership won't be doing. Im not necessarily worried, yet, I just wanted to know if any of these problems could potentially be serious, so that I could know if I need to make the 2 hour trip to the dealership immediately. I'm sorry I pissed so many of you off. I just assumed that this thread was for people who needed help, but apparently this is the same as the lame car clubs here in town that park at car washes and talk down to people who drive stock vehicles.

^No, not the same. We actually know what we're talking about.
Locate the rattle, give us a better description.
12 mpg in town is pretty normal.
There may be something wrong your TMPS sensors themselves.

Hard to say for sure.
Might need to open the hood and see if you can narrow it down better.
City or Highway? Might be time for new plugs.
Does the pedal itself squeak or is it coming from the transmission?
Does this occur when you are pressing the pedal in or not?
Might be a communication error or a damaged sensor(s).
If the pressure was low or high, it would flash a couple times then just stay solid.
But if it is flashing continuously, then its something else.

For your tire pressure... are you sure that you have stock rims WITH the tire pressure sensors?
I have my winter rims+tires on without the tire pressure sensors and mine blinks all the time because I do not have the sensors... Basically, if its flashed since you bought it, you don't have any sensors in your wheels.
As for the rattle and MPG... hunt for the rattle... is it metallic or plastic: does it change with miles per hour or change with engine RPMs?
MPG... clean the Mass airflow sensor and check/replace the plugs.

+1 on cleaning the MAF for the mpg issue - 12mpg is not normal for around town unless you are constantly beating on it .
Also : check the air filter is clean - replace if not .
45k is about time to replace coils, plugs and leads - fairly cheap if you do it yourself .
