Ok I have a 04 6sp that has roughly 30k on a new motor and 110k on the car itself. I was having misfires and my cat was clogged when I bought it so I swapped the exhaust for the full turbo xs exhaust with rp so no cat then I installed the BHR coils. everything was ok for awhile now I'm having a issue with some warm starts and sometimes cold starts. These problems seem to also only happen when I get to a half a tank or lower. Cold starts I can turn the key and try to start and it will crank fine. If I stop and turn the key off then back to on and try to start it will fire right up. Now on warm starts if I'm down to half or lower it will crank and crank. Multiple trys with the same results till it will finally start. Once starting it doesn't act or smoke or anything to act as thou it had or was flooded. Me and a few other rotary guys after reading the fuel pump thread are wondering if its possible that the pump isn't making the pressure to siphon gas from the passenger side tank to the driver side where the actual pump is. If the tank is full it will start warm or cold almost just fine. I plan on doing the bhr fuel pump upgrade anyways just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

 

Sounds like it could easily be a fuel pump....at that mileage I would replace it

 

I plan on it. Are there any other options other than stock and the BHR kit. I've read a crap ton of threads about coils but haven't really seen any on the fuel pump.
