$200 to mount PZero Neros at Dobbs, WTF?!

So, I had tire rack ship my new 245/40/18 Pzero Nero M&S tires to Dobbs tire, a local Missouri chain. I am getting them put on tomorrow and the guy I talked to said it would be about 200 bucks to mount them.

Is that insane? Should I balk at that price? Am i getting gouged because I had the tire shipped instead of buying it from them?

Also, I asked about balancing with the TPMS and the guy didn't seem worried. He said he did C5 vettes all the time, that we might have to reset the system and that's it...

What do you guys think? Is this a reasonable price? Anyone with experience at Dobbs?

Thanks in advance,
DaveG

Costco charged $12 per. Don't pay more than $15 for mounting and balancing - each.

I paid about $15 each I think. But I had to buy new tuner lugs and that cost me 50-70 (long time ago, so I might be off on my numbers)

Don't pay $200

I called the Tirerack recommended installer, and he tried to sell me tires. When I said I was going to stick with Tirerack, he said it would be $50 a tire to install. His excuse was that this was a new setup -- it was November 2003 -- so it would take extra time to get it right. My dealer did it for $15 a tire. Tirerack wasn't pleased when I told them what the recommended installer had said.

Try NTB. I went to Dobbs to get a few tires taken off and they wanted $25 a corner because it was 18". I think NTB would do it for $12, but I'm not sure.
