09 wheel color
I need to know the color code for the 09 model rims. I have some curb rash I'd like to try and clean up. I found an old post that mentions Duplicolor TY 01602, Toyota "Lunar Mist Metallic" 1C8 is a perfect match. Is this only for the older model 8's as in all the posts I saw with pictures this looks more silver.

I am currently using the Shinka Edition rims, which are way more silver than the stock rims. I took the stock 09 rims off and still have them. They have some curb rash and they are the ones I want to repair. Here is a pic of them on the car. I can get a close-up if need be.

As you can see they aren't as silver/shiny as the Shinka rims. It appears to be a pretty standard color for OEM rims. I see this color, or least something close to it, on other cars like my old Accord.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but from what I've seen the standard 09 (non R3) rims like you have pictured are the same silver as the standard pre-09 (non Shinka) 5 spoke rims. I've seen posts that say Sunlight Silver is almost a perfect match, and the ones that you mentioned in the first post are most likely for the standard silver rims (which I assume will also work on your 09 rims).

That is the info I needed. Thanks alot. I wasn't sure if the color I found was for a more silvery rim since I wasn't sure what the OEM RX8 rims looked like. I wasnt 100% sure.

I've heard that Lightning Silver (UARC) was the old wheel color, at least. Scroll this link to the Mazda colors. The wheels are at the end of the Mazda list: http://www.sherwin-automotive.com/sh..._ColorBook.pdf
