17 or 18 in wheels

I am looking for opinions on running a 17x10 +25 wheel as opposed to a 18x9.5 +30 offset. I have a 06 whitewater pearl 8 bone stock with minor diy appearance mods. I will be running tein s tech springs so i was wondering if anyone had any advice on running the 17 over the 18. I will be running a fat tire on this setup probably the rt615s. Any rubbing on this setup and is it a mistake to switch down to the 17 from the stock 18s?

IMHO even with the stechs, your car will still look like a 4x4. If I were you I'd stick with the 18's as anything smaller always just looks wierd. the 17's might be a tad lighter, depending on what wheels you choose obviously. And no, no mistake switching from 18 to 17.

If you get 17's check out some enkei rpf1's and stick some wide tires on them and lower ur car trust me they look sick!

The only way the 17's would look good is if the car was slammed. Since you don't have coilovers, I would go with the 18's. Also, posting some pictures of the wheels that you were interested in would help. Some designs look better in 17's than 18's.

my friends got the 5zigen fno1rc in 17x10s last i saw he was on stock suspension though, that thing should look good once its lowered a bit, the only thing that comes to mind for me is that if you ever want to upgrade your front brakes, you'd have to switch back to 18s, its lighter and tires will probably be cheaper
